Letter from Priya
Some of my earliest memories are of sitting beside my grandfather every morning, listening to old Hemant Chauhan bhajans on cassettes.
Soon, music became my own language too.
At the age of six, I started performing in "dayra" shows, followed by years of garba performances. Growing up in a Gujarati medium school brought me even closer to my mother tongue, its poetry, and its emotions.
After spending decades creating music in the Indian film industry, I realised I was still searching for a deeper creative satisfaction. Somewhere within that search, "Vaarso" was born, as a way of giving back to the culture that shaped me.
Today's digital era made it possible for this vision to reach people across the world.
